Remember that failure is an event, not a person.
Hmm, this was one of those quick ideas… well, actually, a fellow FarRider mentioned on the forum he had seen this wireless headset for under 100 AUD. I had a look, and these were on offer for 49.95 AUD. And here is the quick idea: for that price I ordered a set.
What I didn't know at the time — and my research showed that most (if not all) units needed to be charged off line, some even have 240 Volt chargers only — this unit can be charged on 12 Volt while in use! How good is that?! This means this headset can be used all day, and if it runs out of battery, just plug into the bike's electric system and keep going.
And just in case you wonder: yes it is some no-name "Made in China" product. But what else would you expect for 50 bucks?! ![]()
I will write up a report after I had time to install and test the system.
Well, it is a bit of a harsh statement, but it is true. The battery does not hold power for longer than 3 hours. The unit did not allow the volume to be adjusted. Either way: not usable!
The only good thing will be the speakers of the heaedset, which I can use with another headset I have got.
Sometimes this happens: a bad experience, and $50 wasted. Not even worth claiming warranty. C'est la vie!
