Welcome, to the continuously improving home page project of Max Gren•ko•witz a. k. a. MaxG!
First of all: I love this country …
I love Australia! …
I love being here! …
… and I love being a part of it!
Right now (April 24 to June 5) I am going Around Australia on my motorbike.
I am Celebrating a milestone! I published my 800th web page in February 2010!
What a journey this has been! I started somewhere in 1995 with my first Internet presence (I think); quite a while ago. 15 years later, and I realise I have also documented — in parts — some 15 years of my life.
Indulge yourself in the 877 public pages my web site is offering you around major themes like:

A friend was saying the other day: "what, over 700 pages… how do you keep these up-to-date?" I replied that the site is a journey, and started even before my first homepage in 1995; interests will change, and they certainly have.
I added the a lot of pages around motorcycling in 2009: My new Burgman 650 Executive; Some long-distance rides, etc.
So the most interesting bits are the most recent ones, most prominent are the 2 Wheels, Motorcycle Riding: Around Australia, Long Distance Riding sections.
In 2008 the then new "music" section has pushed "photography" off its first rank, both, in this web space and in life.
I added the Yamaha Tyros 2 pages after we bought this keyboard in late December 2007. It is an awesome machine!… and is certainly a different thing for different people.
Music has taken on a revived, new significance in my life and subsequently moved up the "ranks" (here in hierarchy) making it a top-level topic on June 25th, 2007. I am taking piano lessons since June 1st, 2007, bought a digital piano on June 2nd, 2007). I enjoy life much more if not in full, and consider myself in the process of being self-actualised.
On September 22nd, 2008 I had spent 1,000 hours on my study of music and piano practice, a journey I started on June 1st, 2007; More detail on My Progress Statisics page.
When I decided to learn playing the classical piano, many questions popped up; questions such as:
… down to the point, whether "making music at the piano" is actually the right thing to do for me or not.
An adult learner will most likely have different expectations (compared to young kids) and may pose different questions to explore this subject. At least I did, and I did not readily find the type of information I was after, hence, why the music section of my web space is still the fastest growing section.
This site has (from April to September 2007) experienced a significant change and make-over. The layout has changed — the site is now fully database-driven, utilises CCS, and is coded in strict XHTML, in geek speak.
The structural change required overhauling the some 600 pages ever created. I started with the latest events and topics, and pulled older pages across over time; some 300 pages were done by June 30th, 2007; all pages were done in October 2007.
I encourage you to make use of the e-mail button at the bottom of each page, in case you have a query, feedback or want to share information. Clicking it will add the page-specific subject title in addition to the e-mail being triggered. I would love to hear from you.
There is and will be regualr activity … My goal is and has been to add at least one page per week. It has turned out though that the holiday breaks are the most productive times for updates and additions
Find pages I have added in recent days.
This home page mainly exists for friends, colleagues, and fellow students, who are showing an interest in a particular topic, who want to know a bit more about it, or who want to help develop and discuss it further.
Entries are shown in the order of latest first.

Hey Max, your site looks great. I got the address from a book review you left on a photography book on amazon.com. Thanks for all the tips on what you've learned about digital photography, your entries are very easy to read and conversational! I bought myself a Nikon Coolpix camera last November and I'm learning all I can about digital photography. Thanks!! |
